How do I convert my Foreign Licence to a Singapore Licence?
Passing the Basic Theory Test (BTT) is required before applying to convert a foreign driving licence with the Traffic Police. Please note that if you have previously passed the BTT, you are not required to retake it for licence conversion.
The application of conversion of any foreign driving licence application may be submitted via FormSG - https://go.gov.sg/foreign-driving-licence-conversion and will be subject to the Traffic Police’s (TP) approval. To register for the BTT, sign up for our Standard or Expert conversion courses, which are specially designed to prepare motorists for the Basic Theory Test.
The fees for the courses are as follows:
You can register either Standard Course or Expert Course. Registration can be completed online or in-person by coming down to our centre on weekdays from 9:15 AM to 6:30 PM. For weekends, an e-appointment is required before visiting our centre.
