Vocational Licence (VL) holders will receive a renewal notice at their registered address approximately 1 to 2 months before their licence expires. The notice will outline the renewal requirements. For licence holders turning 70, 73 or 74 years old, an Assessment of Fitness to Drive will be required as part of the renewal process.

From 2 February 2026, medical examination reports must be submitted digitally by the examining doctor to the Land Transport Authority (LTA) or Traffic Police (TP) via the Harmonised Medical Form Report (HMER) system. There is no longer any need to submit a physical copy of the medical form to LTA.

Once you receive the second SMS from LTA confirming that you have passed the medical examination, you may visit our Service Centre during counter operating hours to enrol and book your On-road Assessment.

After you have completed the On-road Assessment, SSDC will submit your assessment result directly to LTA on your behalf. No further action is required from you.
